Story of Love 1: Global Mission Board

Story of Love 3: The CaSTLE Project
Story of love from SAM Paul Brooks. He shared his experience with the CaSTLE Project. In 2025 and again in 2026, NWOS received funding from the Lily Endowment, by way of Wartburg Seminary to ground the training of our lay leaders in a shared baptismal ecclesiology, that is the understanding that we are all called to ministry in daily life through baptism. SAM Paul Brooks has a unique perspective on what this bold transformation looks like in both small-town and rural communities, which make up 65% of our parishes in the Northwestern Ohio Synod.

Story of Love 4: Growing in Faith (Diakonia)
Story of Love from Pastor Tanyce Addison, who is an alumnus of the Growing in Faith program. Formerly called Diakonia, the Growing in Faith program is a lay school committed to fostering learning environments for followers of Jesus to grow in faith. We know that lay members of our parishes are integral to healthy discipleship in our churches and communities. So, we gather followers across congregations and synods to grow in faith together. Growing in Faith Ohio is a collaborative ministry of the Northwestern Ohio and Northeastern Ohio Synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
